Teaching English requires tailoring to different cultures, and I believe fifteen years living in Russia avails me more than most a better understanding of a Russian students needs and requirements.
With 20 years experience of international business outside the UK, and working with a host of cross-cultures around the world, I can honestly say I know exactly what advantages are required to get ahead in English for progressive students, both graduates and professionals.
When I teach IELTS and Business English, it is with vast actual experience in the field which becomes the advantage in getting proven results.
This is done by tailoring each student need whilst adding additional work time and effort to them. In a nut shell their final result is my reputation.
In June 2020 I had only one month to attain a Russian Law student his required IELTS band 6. This was compounded by the fact his commencement level was a band 4.
Suffice to say we succeeded and on top of that I assisted him with his sponsor letter to the University.
You see, my methodology is to become as one with the student and be their mentor and guide during our study.
I was born a Native English person, and I’ve see my whole life the challenges non-native speakers have in this language of commerce and business and have never taken that for granted. So to me teaching English is giving a little back, and is not just about money.
